Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one session and without the need to switch devices. They can also reduce space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and also vacuums well. The mops spin at fast speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly application that lets you select the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you can request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. Its only minor issue is that it can smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but a quick glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station informs the maintenance tasks that need to be done including emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time as well, with the mop being capable of running for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. budget robot vacuum is simple to use and intuitive that lets you look at every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. The model this year has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may miss.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another surface. It can then change its course automatically and clean around the objects, without missing a step.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is striking, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles up as a child-lock, and a home-button to take the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.
The only downside I've discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these smart features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its intelligent design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair, crumbs and other dry messes. It comes with a mop of excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the use of pads. The X40 is also very quiet in operation and only occasionally bursting during mode changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, that allows it to reach hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. It also allows the robot to reach under low-profile furniture, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a great feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through excessive back-and forth movements.
Unlike other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is user-friendly and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also detect whether the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive on the market however, it comes with many additional features that set it apart. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can remove pet hair and other small dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is an excellent feature as it stops the build-up of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.
There's a plethora of options available that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. They can be set through the app, or via direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options for customising the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of features that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list, but it's still not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
